So I recently purchased a copy of Windows Vista Ultimate. I have the business editions but I wanted to play with the extra features of Ultimate, which essentially is not much more then Windows Media Center and BitLocker…
Vista arrived in the mail today…it’s took me 20 minutes just to figure out how to open the box before just ripping the thing open. I understand is a new operating system and Microsoft need to do as much as possible to make people think this is the greatest OS in the world (Mac Tiger whoops the bejesus outta it) but do they need to make the box swing open like a futuristic VHS case?!?!? A simple box with a sleeve in it would have been just fine.
I’ll get to a review a bit later, but I just really wanted to vent on the box….
(I know Vista isn’t “new” and I’m not just getting around to it now, but I’d like to do an in depth article on rolling it out, migrating from XP and managing a corporate environment with Vista workstations real soon…be on the lookout!)
